Creative Clerkenwell Pop-Up Shop

Launching at Clerkenwell Design Week this year is Creative Clerckenwell a network of designers makers committed to upcycle discarded materials.
Led by designer-curator and Craft Central network member Charlene Lam, various events will take place from the 24th to the 28th of May :

Creative Clerkenwell Pop-Up Shop
at 21 Clerkenwell Green, EC1R 0DX
Tue-Sat 24-28 May, 11-6 Tue-Fri and 11-5 Sat,

The pop-up shop will offer a selection of work from Craft Central designer-makers, with an emphasis on Collected in Clerkenwell products made from upcycled materials collected from local showrooms and businesses.

Roof Party and market at Craft Central, 33-35 St John’s Square, London EC1M 4DS
Thur 26 May 2011, 4-8pm,

Craft Central and Creative Clerkenwell will host a roof party at Craft Central
headquarters on St
John’s Square, with furniture made from salvaged materials. A selection of designer-makers will show and sell their wares, including garden pots made from reclaimed slate by London Kills Me. With kind support from Asahi Beer.

Vitra Showroom: Upcycling Workshops and Display
30 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1M 5PG, Tue-Thu, 24-26 May, noon-2pm.
Using discarded material samples, participants will make purses, pouches, and brooches with guest designers and hand-bound books with Wyvern Bindery.
